my mom took me to the creek today! and there were squirrels! lots of them!!! and i chased them to the end of my leash.
until we got to the creek proper, that is. then mom took off my leash, and i ran up, and i ran down, and i got wet and drank the stanky water! and yelled at the squrrels to come down out of the trees so i could chase them.
i'm kinda tired now.

but yesterday, we went to the creek again, and i got so excited about the squirrel that i climbed up a tree and scared my mom. she thought i was gonna fall out, but i'm smarter than that! -

one day i got out of the apartment, mama & papa came home. i was lounging in a sunspot on the porch when a parakeet flew up & clung to the window screen. just as mama was saying that lost parakeets dont last long, the dumb birdy landed on the ground, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!
a more purrrrrfect opportunity there couldnt be! so iiii SNAPPED it up! lots of screaming ensued...i lost my trophy & ran to the neighbors yard. when papa finally caught up to me i had a pale blue feather sticking out of my mouth...he was so mad...

but i love her. she takes me to chase the squirrels, and i get to snuggle with her at night. she doesn't stink, but she's pretty good as far as humans go.

Then they run around and around the trees and up and jump from one to the other and I chase....I can jump real high, but not high enough. I wait and wait and wait...but mommy won't wait forever.

twice i've almost been successful.
the door opened, i cried, 'freedom!' as i dashed out the door, only to encounter more indoors. there were stairs, and rooms with other people.
damn. still trapped.
